Lowry Nelson papers, 1934-1965.

The collection comprises correspondence between Nelson and the administrators of the University of Minnesota Dept. of Agriculture (now the Institute of Agriculture) and the Minnesota Agricultural Experiment Station, concerning the Dept. of Rural Sociology. Also included are correspondence and papers relating to President Roosevelt's Special Committee on Farm Tenancy (1936-37), and Nelson's personal data (1962-65). Correspondents represented in the collection include Clyde Harold Bailey, Walter C. Coffey, Brooks Hays, Harold LeClaire Ickes, Forrest Rinehart Immer, Robert Welch Murchie, and Henry Agard Wallace.
